Do I need X-rays at every dental exam?

You won't need X-rays at every single visit. We typically recommend taking them if you are a new patient, or for existing patients, once a year to check for cavities between teeth and monitor bone levels around your teeth. The frequency of dental X-rays depends on your oral health history, risk factors, and how long it's been since your last set of X-rays. Our digital X-rays use very low doses of radiation than traditional X-ray equipment.
